Quality, delivery and risk governance across a £105m nuclear-security portfolio
Matthew leads quality and assurance governance across Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C security programmes. His work supports technical compliance, delivery decisions, client confidence and programme risk management.

Digital QEHS management system for Hinkley Point C
Matthew led the move to a single digital QEHS framework for the Hinkley Point C security project. He took the work from platform selection through process design, testing, training and governance.

Nuclear supplier development across two manufacturing companies
Matthew worked alongside two manufacturing suppliers to raise process control, competence and records for nuclear delivery. The work included fabrication and welding assurance.

Five-year Global Air Sector Quality Strategy
Matthew created a five-year Global Air Sector Quality Strategy for an organisation of around 25,000 to 30,000 people. The strategy linked programme demand, capability, governance, technology, investment and improvement priorities.

Delegated release certification for an £80m first-of-type stealth UAV
Matthew applied engineering assurance and delegated airworthiness across the full Systems Engineering V-Model, also known as the V-Cycle, on Mantis, Taranis and PHASA-35. His work covered requirements, design assurance, build, integration, verification, validation, flight readiness and aircraft release.

Hinkley Point C is the main focus of Matthew's current nuclear work, bringing nuclear-security delivery, supplier development, digital QEHS, project assurance and nuclear-safety expectations into one programme environment. Sizewell C sits within the same £105m portfolio and extends the governance approach across a second major UK nuclear programme.
Hinkley Point C represents £45m and Sizewell C £60m of the £105m portfolio within Matthew's current remit.Mantis

On PHASA-35, Matthew applied the full V-Cycle through requirements, design assurance, build, integration, verification, validation, flight readiness and release support.

Matthew led right-first-time assurance for safety-critical electrical cabinetry for the Nuclear Island, coordinating product and build evidence across IP/IK protection, UKCA, electrical safety and environmental qualification.
Entry into full production for an 800+ cabinet run included certified build documentation, First Article Verification (FAVe) test specifications and reports, Lifetime Quality Records (LTQR), plus HVAC failure, EMC and seismic test evidence.Read the manufacturing caseTaranis
